Reduce back fat with Yoga: 6 asanas (poses)
Evolution has not given humans eyes behind their heads (yet). But maybe that’s why we tend to sometimes not pay attention to our backs and back fat. Out of sight, out of mind. Well it doesn’t have to be that way. Try the simple yoga poses below to not just get rid of back fat and tone your back, but also avoid most lower back problems.
Shalabhasana (Locust pose)
Stretching your hamstrings helps tone your back muscles. This asana will give your metabolism a boost and help burn fat.
Bhujangasana (Cobra pose)
A very effective exercise to burn back fat as well as tone your arms, legs and midsection. This asana also works on your upper and lower back muscles, the results of which you will soon be able to see in the mirror.
Dhanurasana (Bow pose)
If you are a regular at basic yoga and wish to go a little more advanced, you should try dhanurasana. Upper back, lower back and thighs; this asana works on all the three areas.
Ardha chandrasana (Half moon pose)
This asana works on your upper as well as lower body. Your arms get a nice stretch and over time your body balance improves too.
Setu Bandhasana (Bridge pose)
This is one of the most effective exercises for maintaining health of your spine. It engages your core and strengthens the neck, back and legs.
Vasishthasana (Side plank pose)
This powerful asana works as a arm and wrist strengthener. It also works on your midsection and back, thereby making this a very effective upper body exercise.
